How will SunPOS benefit my establishment?

Can I purchase the SunPOS software seperately if I already have existing POS hardware?

Yes! If you already have existing POS hardware, SunPOS is available as a software only solution. Whether you purchased your hardware in advance, purchased an establishment that already had the hardware installed or are just not satisfied with your current POS system, SunPOS can offer a solution for you. The only requirement is to ensure your existing is compatible with the SunPOS software. Please see the compatibility chart at the bottom of this page for more information.

What methods or devices are used for order entry?

Orders can be entered via the touchscreen or by using a mouse. Passcode entries may be entered by touchscreen, card swipe or a biometric thumb print scanner. There is an on screen keyboard within the software for special entries. A PDA may also be integrated to enter orders into SunPOS.

Will SunPOS help my staff suggest new dishes and specials?

Yes! SunPOS can be setup to suggest & recommend new, popular and special dishes so your staff can upsell your customers and help increase your revenue.

How will the kitchen/bar know what to make, what if special instructions are needed?

SunPOS prints the orders entered by the staff to the appropriate assigned printer. All items including special instructions are sent. SunPOS has extensive built-in modifer capabilities, including an on-screen keyboad for additional special instructions. This allows for less confusion between departments, decreases errors and increases efficiency.

Does SunPOS have functions for reservations?

Yes! SunPOS allows you to enter reservations into the system. You can even see the status of tables & rooms that are needed for your reservations.

Am I able to track sales and reports in real time?

Yes! Sun POS gives you access to numerous reports in real-time. With SunPOS, you can view and print sales, discount, labor and inventory reports at anytime from any terminal in the system. You can track these reports by item, department, date range etc. and SunPOS will automatically calculate the totals for you.

What is the advantage of our Customer Relations Management (CRM)?

This feature allows you to create a database of your customers. You can not only enter their name, address, phone numbers, email etc., you can also track their ordering habits. You can view what they order, special orders, how many times they visit your establishment and how much money they spend. This allows for better service and a better experience for your most loyal customers.

What type of operating system & hardware is required to run SunPOS?

SunPOS will run on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. Other hardware such as printers, monitors and card swipes may be required based on the application needed for the establishment. See the operating system and hardware requirement chart below.
